Biography

Nick Stone is a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter who hails from Irvine, California. From the young age of 3, he found a passion for music. He started classical piano lessons when he was 4, where he continued to learn music theory and piano skills until he was 12 years old. From there, he became interested in learning guitar and practicing singing, and began studying a variety of popular music styles on his own. Around this time, he started writing songs and arranging productions on his computer. He played keyboard at his church for more than 5 years, where he gained valuable experience working with a band. He attended high school at the Orange County School of the Arts in the Commercial Music program before going on to study Popular Music Performance at the USC Thornton School of Music. Since his graduation in 2019, Nick has been focusing on developing his pop-funk/neo-soul band, Undecided Future. He continues to work as a songwriter, producer, and instructor. As a highly-trained student of music himself, Nick feels comfortable teaching a broad range of styles and ages. His instruction method is designed to inspire passion in his students, by combining important knowledge and fundamentals with relatable songs that make it fun to learn!

Nick can teach piano, guitar, and vocals of a variety of genres and levels of ability. While being sure to cover the fundamentals such as key signatures, chords, and rhythms, he likes to tailor my lessons to the individual student and hopefully grow their passion for music through exploring songs they know and love.
